Solaris' visuals feature a lush and decayed illustrative custom type for a splash of futurism and sci-fi bringing a familiar warmth of a bookshop with a splash of adventure. Solaris aims to redefine the space for indie bookstores and rekindle the love for being lost in a new world physically and fictionally.

As an exercise to brand for smaller businesses, this process was interesting to also create for an area of design that I haven’t seen myself - for indie bookshops. This process, alongside the guidance of Paul Sych, inspired me to step outside of my comfort zone and really lean into creating a custom typeface and utilize the post apocalptic motif.
